Presidenta Foro Fintech y General Counsel Digital Origin

 

Marta Plana es General Counsel de Digital Origin, una start-up fintech con oficinas en Madrid, Barcelona y Nueva York, y Presidenta de Foro Fintech. Marta ha pasado la mayor parte de su vida profesional en Silicon Valley, donde ha asesorado y participado en la creación de varias start-ups de base tecnológica, desde sus inicios y hasta su salida a bolsa.

Licenciada en Derecho por la Universidad de Barcelona y Juris Doctor con Honores por la Nova Southeastern University. Completó sus estudios en la Universidad de Stanford y en la London School of Economics.

Su trayectoria profesional se inició en Baker & McKenzie, Microsoft Corp., y Osborne Clarke. Entre 2011 y 2013 fue Consejera de la Comisión del Mercado de las Telecomunicaciones (CMT), actualmente CNMC.

 

 

Marta Plana is General Counsel at Digital Origin, a disruptive, fintech start-up company for the Spanish market, founded in London in 2013, with offices in Barcelona, Madrid and New York. She is also President at Foro Fintech, organization founded in 2014 to create a favorable environment for the development of fintech companies in Europe. Marta has spent more than 10 years in Silicon Valley, assessing and mentoring many technological startups.

After getting her Law Degree at the University of Barcelona, Marta got full scholarship to attend Law School at Nova Southeastern University of Florida, where she graduated as Juris Doctorate with Honours (2004). She also studied at Stanford University and London School of Economics a program on Technology, Start-ups, venture capital and Internet companies.

Her professional career started as a lawyer in Baker & McKenzie (2002), MICROSOFT Corp. (2006), and Osborne Clarke (2007). In 2011, she was appointed Commissioner at the Spanish Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT).
